Everyday life & relationships

Individual therapy for everyday life

A thoughtful space to talk through stress, relationships, decisions, and personal growth—with support shaped around you.

You do not need a perfect explanation for reaching out

You may be managing school, work, and responsibilities while still wishing you had somewhere to put everything you are carrying. Perhaps a friendship feels different, a decision keeps circling in your mind, or you want to understand why the same situations leave you feeling frustrated. These are welcome starting points for individual therapy.

Dr. Tina Halabian works with teens, emerging adults, young adults, early-career professionals, and adults at other stages of life. Therapy can begin with something specific or with a broader wish to understand yourself. You do not need to choose a diagnosis before making an inquiry.

Other conversations may focus on confidence, identity, school, independence, or making room for yourself alongside responsibilities to others. Your priorities guide the work.

What working together can look like

Some sessions may be spent talking through an experience and feeling heard. Others may involve noticing patterns, considering a different interpretation, or trying a practical change between appointments. You and Dr. Halabian can discuss how much structure, reflection, and guidance feels helpful.

The first conversations are also a chance to discuss your goals, relevant history, preferences, and whether this practice is a good fit. If a more specific concern comes into view, you can discuss an approach that fits it; you are not committing to a separate category of care by choosing this page.

Common questions

Can I start therapy if I am generally doing well?

Yes. You can inquire about therapy for everyday stress, relationships, self-understanding, and growth. Consultation is a chance to discuss what you want from the work and whether the practice is a fit.

Can I meet from Los Angeles or New York?

The practice is primarily telehealth. Clients must be located in California or New York at the time of sessions. This includes people in Los Angeles; this page does not describe a physical office.

How often would we meet?

Frequency is discussed individually. More than one session per week or intensive arrangements may be considered depending on clinical needs, fit, and availability.

What if I want support for a particular concern?
