About Dr. Tina
I’m a licensed clinical psychologist who works with children, teens, young adults, and adults navigating anxiety, OCD, mood fluctuations, difficulties with emotion regulation, relationship challenges, and life stressors that can impact daily functioning and overall well-being. I grew up in Southern California and was drawn early on to deep human connection and understanding others. Connecting with people and listening to their experiences came naturally to me, and personal experiences further shaped my desire to help individuals develop tools to navigate challenges without feeling helpless or hopeless.
My clinical work is grounded in strong graduate and post-graduate training at leading institutions, including Loma Linda University, Yale, NYU, Children’s Hospital Orange County, and UCLA. I was trained by clinicians and researchers widely recognized as leaders in the field and am trained in evidence-based treatments for anxiety, OCD, mood disorders, and a variety of other mental and emotional concerns, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I have worked across multiple levels of care, including outpatient and intensive outpatient settings, allowing me to tailor treatment with clinical depth and flexibility.
I am committed to providing high-quality psychological care you can trust. Training and experience among mental health providers can vary widely, and I believe it’s important for clients to feel confident that their care is grounded in strong clinical education, ongoing training, and ethical, evidence-based practice.
My style is warm, collaborative, and appropriately challenging, meaning I strive to create a supportive space where clients feel understood while also encouraging growth, insight, and meaningful change. I work with individuals and families from diverse cultural backgrounds and life experiences, and I offer therapy in both English and Farsi, aiming to create a respectful and inclusive environment.
Mental health is a foundational part of overall well-being, influencing how we think, feel, relate to others, and move through the world. The human mind and body are complex, and understanding anxiety, emotional reactions, relationship patterns, and behavioral responses can feel overwhelming at times. While support from loved ones is invaluable, professional therapy offers a structured space focused entirely on your growth and well-being.
Therapy is more than just talking. While reflection and understanding are important, meaningful change happens when insight is paired with action. In our work together, we focus on building practical skills, setting clear and realistic goals, and creating a plan that helps you apply what you’re learning to your everyday life.
Sessions are collaborative and intentional. We’ll regularly check in on progress, adjust goals as needed, and work toward changes that feel both meaningful and sustainable. I aim to support you while also helping you stay accountable to the goals you set for yourself. Reflection without change can keep us stuck, and change without thoughtful reflection can lead us off course. Therapy works best when we balance both.
I am grateful to be part of your journey in supporting your or your child’s mental health, and my goal is to work alongside you with warmth, honesty, and clinical skill, helping you move toward greater clarity, relief, and direction over time that aligns with your own goals, needs, and values.
